Meet Tayler: Class of 2012 Senior Rep

Last week, I got to meet and work with our second Class of 2012 Senior Rep Tayler. Tayler is a senior at Cabell Midland High School. I had the chance to scout out a few new locations for her session and tried out a new lens! The weather was AWESOME for us and Tayler was so easy to work with…great weather + great client = Happy AJ .

AMF Seniors featured on Inside the Locker

I checked my email this morning and had an awesome surprise! The email was letting me know that AMF Seniors was being featured on Inside the Locker today!! Woohooo! Inside the Locker is a great resource for high school senior portrait photographers. It features inspiration sessions, industry news, vendors, and creative ideas for senior portraits.

Our recent session with Lila, a Huntington High senior, is being featured. Yay! Be sure to check it out and leave a comment!

Benefit Concert featuring 4 Mile

The up-and-coming, local band 4 Mile will be performing a benefit concert to help raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children next Friday! It will be a show you don’t want to miss, and an opportunity to give back to an organization that provides much needed services to children around the country. Everyone is invited, and anyone can come! Bring your family AND your friends.

Tickets are $5.00 at the door.

If you need another reason to attend this concert besides the great music and the chance to help a great cause, A Modern Focus is excited to be donating a Portrait Package ($200 value) for the raffle drawing during the Benefit Concert on May 13th! You must attend the concert and purchase a raffle ticket to be entered into the drawing, which will be held during the intermission. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have to win the portrait package or some of the other prizes being offered!

Lila: Class of 2011

Patrick and I were worried we would not be able to complete Lila’s Ultimate Session because of the recent incessant rain, but last Saturday the clouds parted long enough for us to photograph day one of her session. We meet Lila, a Huntington High senior, at Saddle Ridge Farm to get a natural setting for her senior portraits and had a great time. Lila’s bubbly personality helped keep our minds off the threat of rain, and even with the soggy grounds we were able to get some awesome images. Check out a few images from part one of Lila’s session.

A few days later, we checked the weather channel again and the forecast predicted more rain! Luckily, when I meet Lila for day two of her session the rain held off again. (Thank you!) This time we met up in downtown Huntington to get a totally different feel and hair style. One of the great advantages of doing an Ultimate Session is the ability to change up your look and/or time of year. Here are some of my favorites from day two with Lila.

CJ: Class of 2011

On Sunday, Patrick and I meet CJ, a Cabell Midland senior, for his portrait session at Ritter Park. We had a great time with CJ and his mom during the session and managed to get some memorable images. CJ plans to attend WVU this Fall. Lastly, I a big “Thank you” to Mr. Jason Gable for helping us out with the Windsor knot for CJ’s tie! Here’s a sneak peek of some images from CJ’s session. Enjoy the rest of your year!!

Last year, we started our first Senior Rep program for the Class of 2011. We currently have 6 awesome reps from several local high schools in our area; including: Huntington High School, Spring Valley High School, St. Joesph High School and Wayne High School. I believe the rep program is a great way to spread the word about A Modern Focus AND give a few lucky clients the opportunity to get great custom senior portraits at a very reasonable price…(possibly completely for FREE!).

If you are a current Junior (graduating with the Class of 2012) and are interested in learning more read below…and apply!

The Perks of being an AMF Senior Rep:
- A FREE one hour on-location portrait session
- 20% off print & product orders from rep session(s)
- 50% off additional session time booked during your senior year (Session time only. Not valid with special sessions)
- Opportunity to earn additional discounts to use on prints & products (or cash) with referrals
- 45 rep cards with an image from your session on the front and AMF information on the back
- Web images w/watermark for your Facebook & Myspace pages

Referral Bonuses:
1-3 referrals: Receive $25 of credit toward print/product purchases for each referral OR $10 in cash for each referral
4-6 referrals: Receive $30 of credit toward print/product purchases for each referral OR $20 in cash for each referral
7-10 referrals: Receive $45 of credit toward print/product purchases for each referral OR $30 in cash for each referral

If you choose the cash option, referral balances will be sent to the rep by the beginning of April 2012.

(Please note: Referrals must book and complete a paid session with us before credit is applied and/or redeemed. These paid sessions must be completed by March 31, 2012. The referral(s) must present a referral card in order to be eligible. All referred individuals will receive 2 print credits ($24 value) to use toward any print/product purchases from their portrait session. Referrals can include anyone who books the following sessions: Senior, Newborn, Family Portraits, Couple Portraits, etc., but rep cards must be presented to qualify.)

Requirements (the fine print):
- All Juniors interested must fill out a 2012 Senior Rep Application.
- As a Senior Representative, you must have an outgoing personality and the ability to promote A Modern Focus photography.
- A parent/legal guardian of the Senior Rep must sign a model release (included in Senior Rep Application) which allows us to use your images for advertising.
- Senior Reps should join our AMF Facebook Page.
- Applicants must live in and attend school in one of the following counties: Cabell, Wayne, or Putnam in West Virginia; Lawrence county Ohio; Boyd county Kentucky.
- All Senior Rep portrait session(s) must be completed by August 1, 2011.
- Our Senior Rep agrees to promote only A Modern Focus Photography during their Senior year. Negative comments about other studios will not be tolerated.
- Web-resolution photos from your session with watermark need to be posted on your Facebook and/or Myspace page.
- Rep cards need to be handed out to any classmate or person that may be interested in having a session with A Modern Focus.
**Referral must present your rep card to get credit**

Jessie: Class of 2011

About two weeks ago, we got to work with Jessie, Spring Valley High senior, again for her Fall senior portraits. We had the pleasure of working with Jessie in the summer during her rep session for A Modern Focus. We couldn’t have asked for a better day or subject to photograph! We even talked Jessie’s boyfriend, Austin, to come out and join her for a few images toward the end of her session. Austin, is our senior rep from Wayne High School. Chelsea: Class of 2011
